Mission Statement
St. Brigid – St. Augustine Partnership School is a culturally diverse Catholic community that welcomes students of all faiths. We are united in service to God and others while striving for excellence in academics, spirituality, and personal responsibility.
The History of St. Brigid – St. Augustine Partnership School
Seeking to apply a religious application to the world of academia, Reverend Joseph A. Rice evangelized to his parish flock and the surrounding community of the need for Catholic Social Teaching. In 1959, St. Brigid Parish undertook the establishment of St. Brigid School that opened its doors of religious and academic excellence in September of the following year.
In the autumn of 2016, Project Concern addressed the needs of inner-city students when St. Augustine School could no longer sustain itself as a viable entity. St. Brigid and St. Augustine Schools collaborated to form what is today our beloved Partnership School.
As fate would have it in that same year, the announcement of the sudden and unexpected closing of St. Mary School in Newington brought further change to the newly formed Partnership School. Many of St. Mary’s students and faculty became part of our blessed Partnership family that today strives ever forward to build a glorious history in the annals of spiritual and academic achievement of excellence in Catholic Social Teaching.
